Women Specific Vitamins |

Are these really much different than the average adult vitamin? I mean I know we have some things we are more prone to than men, but do they really require an entirely different formulation or is this just marketing? |

I think that women have different bodies, and it only makes since that they would need different vitamins and minerals than a man would. I know women have different calcium and Iron needs than men do. |

Yes! Women also need to have folate in case they become pregnant. I'm of the persuasion that more specified vitamins are better. Young/teen women need different vitamins than women during the childbearing years, who need different vitamins than post-menopausal women. And men need completely different than us. I think it's a good thing. |

I use "One-A-Day Women's"
They work very well. I've been using them for a while now and ever since I started I've actually felt much healthier. (I've also been drinking more water).
You can get these almost everywhere, I'm sure you've all seen the commercials. |

I think it is a marketing strategy that helps to sell the products but at the same time, it is warranted because our bodies are made up so differently. |

I'm wondering if doing research on what you need as a woman at the life stage you are at and making up the difference from generic vitamins might work.
I seem to be in between the stages that are usually on the bottles of women's vitamins. |
