| At least, it didn't work in the way researchers had hoped. It was intended to remove plaque from the brain, which it did, but it didn't stop the progression or reverse dementia. there is still some hope that it may stop the onset of dementia though. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25722244/ |

| There is evidence to support that the Alzheimers epidemic is being caused by environment pollution of some kind. And that certain genome types are more sensitive to this type of pollution than others. So I'm not sure that the medication is going to work until the environment is cleaned up or until a genetic treatment is developed. | ||

| I see that the drug's removal of the plaque from the brain didn't help Alzheimer's, but wouldn't getting rid of anything that clogged the brain help in the health of the patient? I know that the result wasn't what they were looking for, but shouldn't they find out if cleaning the plaque can be helpful in some way? |

| ok this is a bad Pun.. maybe they forgot what the outcomes really said. anway with that out of teh way.... somethings they are also not saying: certain viruses that ahve little to do with A-Plaque can actually be a root cause. Viruses like shingles gone internally along teh ganglia instead of outward on the skin, high fevers of unknown origins are in a small percentage who do not have the plaque but have Alzheimers. Some are caused by contrainidcated medications creating a new type of plaque and mass. One reason why they dont want these small numbers, though world wide rather high is because they dont want to panic anyone. Alumnium was found in A pateints about 20 years ago, the body hoarded aluminums and deposited them inteh fatty tissue of the brain, breaking synapsis. when they released that, epopel went crazy wantingt o take aluminum foil off teh market. some current use vaccines, like flu, shingles, Hep-B etc show a side effect as well and they are not releasing that to the public just yet. its never the same twice. julie |
