Cherries For Arthritis!

Studies have shown that consuming 20 cherries per day may be as effective as aspirin at relieving pain.

In mostly laboratory studies on animals, cherries have been shown to contain high concentrations of compounds that work like the COX-2 inhibitors, such as Celebrex.

Now this is the sort of study that I can use! I'd be very willing to pop 20 cherries into my fuit salad every day to help stop pain.

I would have never thought that about cherries. I would be more than willing to indulge in 20 cherries a day for those benefits.

Hopefully this doesn't post twice but for some reason my previous post never showed up.

I wouldn't mind eating them either but too many cherries may also have a laxative affect. Unfortunately cherries have a pretty short season so you'd have to freeze or dry them to have them all year.

This stuff scientists are finding out now a days is absolutely amazing. Who would think cherries would make pain go away?

Now, I hate cherries I think their gross but if it's going to make my pain go away, hell with it I'll eat 20 cherries!

I've read it is DARK cherries only that contain this substance. I've tried it, for my arthritis in my back, and didn't notice a difference.

Hmm, I wonder if it is like an extended thing that you have to do for so long? I love dark cherries so maybe I just want it to work so I have an excuse to pay so much for cherries.

Wow, I didn't know that, the good thing about is that, I love cherries, and I don't mind trying natural stuff to help with my sicknesses and conditions.

Same here Mesha, and even if maybe it only helps a little it can not hurt to incorporate it in with some other form of pain management.

I never knew cherries could do other things besides being very good to eat. It is great to hear this though.
