Heat Care

The summer is on us and we all need to stay cool. If you don't have air conditioning how do you manage to keep yourself from suffering the effects of the heat?

We grew up with out air conditioning. Of course, I have been told that it is hotter now than it was 40 something years ago. But, to us it was still hot. We used and I still use now; box fans, ceiling fans and attic fans. Depending on which direction you have ceiling fans turn they will pull the hot air away from you or pull the cooler air toward you.

We invested in an above ground pool. While the fans in the house do help some, staying in the pool seems to help so much more.

How do you manage to not get a heat rash? I have had three in the past week alone, thought they end up going away pretty quick, kids getting them is even worse.
