Nose Bleed's |

I have had a couple of nose bleeds this month and don't know why. I read somewhere that if you go from a dry climate to a humid climate nose bleeds can occur, but I have been in the same area. I’m thinking it may be allergies. Does anyone have any knowledge of what it could be? |

It is not so much the climate, but going from normal to dry air. For example, I have gotten nose bleeds when I go into a sauna. It could be anything, dehydration, allergies, or even high blood pressure. A couple nose bleeds is nothing to worry about, unless they continue to persist daily. Then you should see a doctor. |

Most likely the nose bleeds are from dry weather. You can try to use a humidifier. They can also occur from nasal medications you might be taking or from other meds too.
If you do get a lot of them you should have your blood pressure checked. My dad had a lot of nose bleeds and when he was so weak from them we finally got him to the hospital. The cause was high blood pressure. The doctors said he was lucky the blood came out of his nose or he would have had a stroke.
I don't mean to frighten you but if your nose bleeds continue I'd see a doctor. |

I would think it would be because of cold weather. Usually people get nose bleeds in the winter rather than the summer.
I have never gotten a nose bleed in my life though, so I can't say I know too much about them. |

You must be really lucky to have never had one. I only get them when the weather does a constant change or sinuses are really bad. |

It's a really common thing at this time of year. The humidity is still low enough that the nose is irritated and the skin thin. Then you add in the irritation from rising pollen levels, and you have a nosebleed.
I suffer them regularly at this time of year. |
