Generic Zocor |
|
|
My doctor put me on generic Zocor about 8 weeks ago in an effort to lower my cholesterol. I went in last Monday for a blood test to see if it's helping and am still waiting for those test results. Cholesterol lowering medications are really hard for me to tolerate because I get the achy muscles associated with the meds. The doctor said, "sometimes you have to choose whether you want to have a heart attack, stroke, or tolerate the muscle pain". After he put it that way, I decided to try the meds again. |

When you look at it that way, the muscle ache doesn't seem that bad. Have you tried changing up your diet at all? Sometimes there is just no way around it. |

I know there is a plethora of high blood pressure medications out there. Have you tried any others? Next time you visit your doctor you may want to ask if there is any other meds you could switch to. |

How high is your cholesterol? Is it at a dangerous level that your doctor said that?
That doesn't sound very professional, and IMO you shouldn't be in pain from the meds.. |
