Toothpaste for your acne?

Does anyone try using toothpaste for their acne? Or do you know that your kid is using it for getting rid of their pimples? Well, he might work but it is better not to continue using such a method for getting rid of one acne as toothpaste is very drying and strong on our skin. It might even cause premature aging!

I have heard about this but I never tried it. There must be some kind of drying compound in the toothpaste that would help with acne. Many things that we use for one thing also helps us with something else. A little hemorrhoid medication is great for getting rid of circles under you eyes.

I never tried the toothpaste method, though I have heard that it does dry out a spot.

You have to use a paste not a gel. Just like a baking soda and water paste can pull the impurities out of a bee sting toothpaste can draw out the impurities from a pimple (clogged pore) when it dries. I've never tried it much as I prefer to not smell like a peppermint or have toothpaste on my pillow but its always being noted as working on home remedy sites.

Yes- You need to use the plain white paste- with nothing in it. I did this when I was younger. It did dry out the pimple making it go away quicker.

It did not make me age early either. Just don't do it too often.

I actually tried toothpaste for acne a few times as a teen. It did dry it up fast. However, what we always used it for more often was to make hickeys fade faster! LOL Not that I had alot of them, but anytime someone had a hickey my friends and I would always tell them to put some toothpaste on it.

I have heard of this method of getting rid of acne before, but have never tried it. I didn't realize it was that harsh to be putting on your face.
