Natural help for eczema? |
|
|
I get terrible bouts of eczema at times. Sometimes it's connected to when I get a severe allergy attack and sometimes not. I have noticed that I get worse eczema outbreaks when I am under stress for some odd reason. I use hydrocortisone cream but I've been told that prolonged use thins the skin. Anyone know of any natural alternatives to help relieve the itch and calm an outbreak? |

My sisters children have eczema and she swears by Aveeno. A lot of their products are all natural, and are great at relieving itch. I have used the oatmeal bath a couple times when I had poison ivy, and it worked great. |

I use a calendula organic baby diaper creme actually, and it works really well. Calendula is healing, and the barrier creme helps it stay moist, which prevents itching. You can also just use crisco as a barrier creme. |

I agree with gbyrd. I am a big fan of Aveeno as well. My son has a bit of eczema and it works well for him. I use all Aveeno products on my son and have been very pleased with the results. |
