Any type 1 diabetes in your family?

It is the rarer form of diabetes and I was the first one in my family and extended family that I know of.
Does anyone in your family have it?

I have an elder brother who died from complications brought on by his diabetes. No-one else in the family has been diagnosed with the condition.

No, only type two diabetes in this family, though it is pretty common for us. And the family members who suffer it are not overweight either, nor have they been throughout their life. It seems we are just prone to it.

I only know one person with juvenile diabetes (as its been called in the past) and its not a family member. We are also prone in this family to type 2 only.

No, no-one in my family has type 1 diabetes although both my parents were diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Both are controlled by diet as well as medications.

I know at least two persons in my family that has diabetes, but I don't know what type they have, I really should find out, just in case I am at risk.
