Healthy Ingredients=Low Fat/No Fat? 

  

Since when did the only things with healthy ingredients such as whole grains come in lowfat/nofat varieties? I went to purchase Hot Pockets for my husband for lunch as a last minute thing before rushing to get errands and laundry done and grabbed the box that had chunks of chicken (he hates the paper thin meat now) and whole grain (he loves whole wheat) only to get back to his office and get the "these are lean pockets-won't eat them". Of course the regular hot pockets didn't have whole grain, and the ones I bought do have real cheese and are still 7grams of fat, 3 saturated, but still. Its like you have to eat unhealthy or eat lowfat/nofat. If he did that he'd waste away. Where's the in between?

I think the manufacturers of these products think that only people looking to eat healthy, would buy and eat whole wheat foods. They think that people who want full fat won't eat it ever.

If it's whole wheat, with chunks of chicken and has the real cheese in it, what's to make it taste bad? It sounds pretty tasty. Does your husband have something against low fat?

When I look for food, typically I look for foods with low fat. Fat-free foods can be good, but some have more sugar or carbohydrates to replace the missing fat.

Always be sure to read the nutritional information on the back.

And as always, try to avoid saturated and trans fat - it's absolutely the worst for you.
