Chapped Lips

What's the best thing to use for chapped lips? I am talking about dry, almost skin-peeling lips.

Vasoline or chapstick?

Vaseline in my opinion, I am not sure the chapstick has enough of the natural oils that promote quick healing and afterwards sustain the lips so that they don't become too dry.

If my lips are really chapped like when you go skiing or are sun burned, Carmex has always worked wonders for me.

Carmex is a wonderful product but a bit hard to find at times. When you can't find that (it comes in a little blue pot), Blistex makes some really good products too. The best one also comes in a pot like the Carmex.

Go with the Chapstick. I am so addicted to the stuff. I have one in my car, one on my nightstand and one in my handbag. I've always used it and it takes care of chapped lips quickly.

I always use chapstick. It'ds great during the winter when my lips get really chapped.

I really have never liked chapstick for my lips. I prefer lip balms that are soft and contain quality ingredients that will benefit your lips.

Both. I think vaseline is wonderful because it's so thick and isn't immediately absorbed. It's kinda awkward to carry around, though, so carrying a tube of chapstick or lip balm in your pocket is a good idea. I keep one in my desk, my work bag, in the kitchen, etc, too, so whenever I feel the need to add some, it's always available.

I really like either chapstick naturals (they have nice oils in them) or blistec moisture therapy (the one with more moisture or something like that).

I used to really like the unpetroleum products but they don't seem to make as many favors anymore and the pots end up leaking if they get too warm and aren't right side up.

I also started using lypsyl which uses beeswax and comes in a couple different types. They sell it at CVS and Walgreens.
