Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis |

This is, basically, rheumatoid arthritis affecting children. I can't seem to find a lot of information online about this and it affects my 3 year old grand daughter. She has to have regular injections of powerful drugs, regular blood tests and eye tests because it affects eyesight too, and she tires easily. I wonder if anyone knows of any good websites with information? |

What specifically are you looking to find or are you looking for general information? I know some sites that mention it as key points on their sites, like for their children's portion of the hospital. Is that along the lines of what you mean? |

I'd like as much information as possible please as I can't find much at all on the web. I need to know what the medical world really thinks, what are the contra-indications of the drugs prescribed, like methotrexate(such as losing taste and therefore not wanting to eat)what new breakthoughs, if any there are and such like.Thanks. |

I found a couple that may be helpful. The first is from the Cleveland Clinic which should be pretty helpful and the second is from one of the drug companies that make drugs to treat the disease. If you can't find the info on either one of these let us know and I'll go searching again.

I'd like to thank you very much for this information. These are two very informative sites, especially the first, and have taught me a lot. |
