Legalize Marajuana for Medical Purposes

Do you think marajuana should be legal for medical purposes only? Or do you think that like any prescribed drug it will be abused by patients?

Its extremely hard to measure someone who is in pain. Thats why most doctors ask you "on a scale of 1 to 10"....

I think it could be worth wonder for many that are in constant pain, but yes just like any other could be easily misused as well, mis prescribed.

I think marijuana should just be legalized and that's that. Let people buy it in drugstores and let them pay taxes on it. Like in countries in Europe, people know that it's going to be used, so they realize that you might as well regulate it.

As for it being illegal even for people who are in pain, who need it to get an appetite after chemotherapy, to relieve the pressure in their eyes to stop them from going blind right now -- it's a sin that it is not available to them.

To think that there is a drug available to be used to help the ill and because some foolish people abuse it, then the people who need it can't get it, is just terrible.

Make no mistake, I have never tried marijuana at all. I don't smoke anything, but I don't see why it shouldn't be legalized. It's a "soft" drug and we might as well regulate it and get it taxed instead of tying up the court system with the people who just smoke it.

I think it could be legalised and offered in a similar fashion as cocaine is. Otherwise it will be abused.

I don't consider marijuana a soft drugs because I have seen countless cases where persons have lost their rightful minds and just degenerate.

Alcohol is legal and is highly abused, and has more damages to you than smoking marijuana. Narcotics are medically prescribed and yet are abused by our younger generation and yet again is worse for you than smoking marijuana. Yes, marijuana should be legalized and is in some states today!

Missy, how is cocaine legal, where are you living this is possible?

I think the gov could make some bank on taxing MJ but who knows if thats more than what they make now locking people up for it.

It might as well be decriminalized or at least legal to the extent where it's a controlled substance.

I think this nation is ridiculous with this law, because SO many Americans have smoked pot or have tried / can obtain it so easily, it's just a waste of effort and money that we don't try to at least decriminalize it..

The economy could probably raise if we legalized it and it was a controlled substance.
