Negative Aspects of Risperdal:

Side effects can be a problem at first

Reason for taking Risperdal:

Severe agitation in autistic child

Additional Comments:

My five year old son has autism and has developed severe agitation to the point of being uncontrollable. The doctor prescribed Risperdal and gradually over approxamately three weeks time we began to see improvements in his behavior. At first he was very lethargic and I was concerned but his activity level evened out as his body adjusted to the medication.
