Positive Aspects of Glucophage ( metformin):

antidiabetic

Negative Aspects of Glucophage ( metformin):

severe reactions

Reason for taking Glucophage ( metformin):

antidiabetic

Additional Comments:

When I took tehis medicationf or teh first time, i had a severe allergic reaction. I went into cardiac arrythmia, could not breathe, sweats, lost hearing. Upon calling an ambulabce which never came. I spoke with teh company emergency number. The reaction I had occirs in 1 in 200 people. Often they sau because it is not for those with liver damage or type 1 diabetes or those who have high control. It was after that we disocvered i was really type I and had a previous history of liver damage from mercury poisioning. I do not recommenmd this drug for any diabetic. It just creates a different taxation on teh system and adds to cardiac complications.

Positive Aspects of Glucophage ( metformin):

Control diabetes without causing spikes or drops in blood sugar

Negative Aspects of Glucophage ( metformin):

Occasional diarrhea

Reason for taking Glucophage ( metformin):

Control blood sugar levels

Additional Comments:

I have tried other antidiabetic medications and had problems because they caused severe drops in my blood sugar. Glucophage is designed to help my body use the insulin already produced by my body without increasing the amount of insulin produced.

Positive Aspects of Glucophage ( metformin):

Helps maintain blood sugar levels

Negative Aspects of Glucophage ( metformin):

None

Reason for taking Glucophage ( metformin):

Type II Diabetic

Additional Comments:

I take this drug to help me maintain proper blood sugar levels. Since being diagnosed as a diabetic this is the only medication I've taken and it works very well. I really don't have any side-effects that I can think of and would definitely recommend this for those with Type II diabetes.
