Positive Aspects of Demerol:

Did kill the pain quickly.

Negative Aspects of Demerol:

All forms have made me feel ill.

Reason for taking Demerol:

Severe back pain/also kidney stone attack.

Additional Comments:

Demerol was introduced to me the first time I had to go to the hospital for treatment for a bulged disk in my lower back. I was given an injection after being evaluated by the doctors so that I would be mobile enough to be transported home. It was a low dose and did what it was supposed to. Second time I was given an injection it was for kidney stone pain and it knocked me out pretty much on the sport. I woke up with severe nausea which frustrating because I had been warned of the possibility and was administered Gravol to control that. I was prescribed pills for home use but only took one because they made me sick to my stomach. Also made me drowsy to the point of not being able to do my work.
