Asprin is a great for relieving head and body aches. It is also a relatively good anti-inflammatory. I have also heard at a regular low dose of asprin helps prevent heart attacks.

preventive for family tendency toward heart problems

There have been a lot of heart problems in my family, and both my reading and my doctors have suggested that aspirin be taken as a preventative. Baby aspirin works best for me; there is no stomach upset.

I would recommend extreme caution using aspirin. True, lots of other drugs in the same class have similar negative aspects. I worry that too many people ignore what it can do to your stomach. I also worry that not enough people know that no one under 23 should take it.

Aspirin is a good choice for pain related to headaches, though in my case it didn't always knock the pain out completely. Most of the time, however, it did provide much needed relief.

I find it quite effective. Because I have minor asthma my doctor has recommended against it however I never had a problem with it in the past.
